The client is a digital and Ecommerce company based out of New York. They have a few ECommerce stores that sell fashion products.
The Challenge
The customer wanted a Social Media App that revolved around the concept of neighborhood and interest based groups. It should not have any of the complexities that were present in the existing apps of similar nature. The app should be administered by the customers themselves and require very less maintenance effort on the part of the administrator. The customer should see Chats, Groups and content that are more relevant to them.
The Solution
The Spagylo Team got involved in the requirements phase and came up with Wireframes. The wireframes were later converted into UI designs. The application was built on native iOS and simplicity was the key ‘Mantra’ during the entire development process. GPS coordinates and interests were tagged to users and that formed the core of the entire app. Search functionality was built to search people and groups based on location, radius and interests. A custom chat library was implemented for person to person and group chats. Intelligent people and group suggestions were given to the users when required. The concept of dynamic neighborhood group was introduced where the visibility of the members of the group kept on changing based on the location of the user. Analytics was built to track usage and to optimize conversion.

The Results
The app was launched on the Apple Store and users felt it was easy to use. The simplicity of the app and the unique UI and the location based and interests based features garnered a lot of users.
